Get aquainted with the kids at the gurukulam in India that we have been supporting and helped grow since 2015. This is a loving space for less privileged kids who by reasons (violence, financial means, religion etc) can not grow at home and find home a safe place. These two Gurukulams, one for girls and one for boys, are founded by one of my Gurus Swami Tattvarupananda. I have visited them many times to learn deeper on what they do and the benefits they provide for the kids staying there.
A gurukulam is a internship learning, the kids move in and are provided the fundamental needs a growing person has, food, shelter, spiritual and scholar education. In addition to a normal schooling with Math, languages, writing reading they get the opportunity to study Vedanta and Yoga under a Guru, Swami T. It is a 180 degrees change from being less privileged with often no food, poor shelter and often violence (mental or/and physical) to a place filled with love, compassion and happiness. These kids are shaped to enter the world as contributors.
The ways you can help are many;
1. Donate financial needs to the gurukulam, ex 500 sek equals 3m stay for 1 child including full housing, food and scholar.
2. Participate in our yearly Gala Dinner, where 70% of the ticket price goes directly to the gurukulam. You get a dinner, mingel and network with similar people with the heart to help others. During these dinners we auction out trainings and more for highest bidder, the profit goes to a chosen Mental Health provider.
3. Go and visit them, share the word and talk about that the gurukulam exists.
All contributions are equal important, many bricks can together build bridges.
